You might wonder, why The Cesta? The Cesta is a nod to our Moravian roots in the Czech Republic. The name translates to ‘journey’ or ‘path' in Czech. The look and feel of the logo are inspired by the stars and constellations above, which people have used to navigate their journeys for centuries. It is inspired by all who are connected here. From employees to residents to the families who join us, we are here for the journey. We are on this path together, lit by the stars above us, and the light in our hearts.

The Cesta will be located in the heart of Terravessa, a multigenerational neighborhood in Fitchburg located at the crossroad of Country Road MM and Lacy Road. Here everyday interactions - from volunteering at Forest Edge Elementary School, to neighborhood concerts, to evening strolls along the nearby bike path – will inspire rewarding connections between generations.

Eco-conscious from the start

The Cesta is proud to be part of the Terravessa neighborhood, and its emphasis on sustainability, active recreation and quality landscape and building design. Of the 248 acres that make up the neighborhood, nearly half have been designated as undeveloped open space.

Bikers, runners and walkers will enjoy easy access to the Capitol City State Trail, and find themselves a 20-minute bike ride to the Capitol Square. A Madison BCycle station is in place directly across the street from our property.

A crown jewel of the neighborhood is the nationally-recognized, “net-zero energy” Forest Edge Elementary School, named a 2023 US Department of Education Green Ribbon School and part of the highly-regarded Oregon School District.
