Fitchburg’s Terravessa neighborhood is the future home of The Cesta. Terravessa is a planned neighborhood with a theme, a culture, and amenities suited to individuals who value the environment, open spaces, multigenerational connections, and active recreation. The Terravessa neighborhood is minutes away from the Fitchburg Library, Lake Waubesa, McGaw Park, the Fitchburg Senior Center and a number of restaurants, parks, and hiking and biking trails.

Location and Transportation

While the Terravessa neighborhood itself offers privacy and little traffic, it is conveniently located near the Beltline Highway, allowing easy access to the Interstate, downtown Madison and the entire Dane County area.

On bike, the neighborhood is minutes away from the Capital City State Trail, meaning miles of interconnected bike trails are just outside your door.

In the future, Terravessa is planning to coordinate a not-for-profit community car sharing program exclusively for residents of the neighborhood, allowing residents the ability to schedule the use of a car for errands and appointments at a fixed hourly rate.

For those seeking mass transit options, Madison Metro offers bus service to the area and will continue to expand its services as the neighborhood grows.

2023 Climate Champion

Terravessa takes great pride in minimizing the environmental impact of new development and promoting environmental sustainability. In 2023 the Terravessa Home Owners Association was recognized as a Climate Champion by Dane County for their management of stormwater using green infrastructure. Whether its urban farming, easy access to commuter bike paths, solar incentives and opportunities, future bus service, a neighborhood school, access to shops, services and a car-sharing program, Terravessa is striving to be as sustainable as possible.
